JOHN AKERS got his master's degree in human factors engineering in the B.C. era (before connectivity) and has worked as a user interface designer ever since. He enjoys all things science and sci-fi and is amazed on a daily basis at the collapsing distinction between the two. When not writing he spends his free time pondering the gap between the exponential curve of technology and the linear growth of human morality.
